Potting Bench

As a new gardener I wanted more than beautiful flowers and different plantings, I wanted pretty spaces to sit and enjoy the garden, spaces to display garden pots and ornaments.
The center patio was surrounded by grass and flower beds, the perfect place to sit under the market umbrella and read a book. At the end of the day the sun moved to the back of the yard and it was there that I could sit and enjoy the garden a little longer. It was the perfect spot share a glass of wine with my neighbours.

The potting bench in natural wood was the beginning stages of the garden display at the back of the yard. Later I painted the bench, a few wooden pop up tables and a mirror black to give a more refined look to the garden. The little wooden bench has moved with me from house to house and I still have it today.
The bench was originally a wood workers bench for kids sold at Home Depot (10 years ago). It was a great score at only $25.
